01

The Brief

Turn a functional business workflow into an entertaining film with the energy, stakes and visual scale of a major cricket broadcast.

02

Creative Direction

Treat a simple office document relay like the final over of a championship match—complete with commentators, athletic hand-offs and a deadpan commercial payoff.

03

Production

We designed the stadium grammar first, then matched each cricket beat to a workplace action. Character continuity, broadcast camera logic, performance, crowd sound and the final reveal were directed as one comic rhythm.

Production Value

Reduce the overhead.
Protect what reaches the screen.

Stadium scale, crowd energy and broadcast coverage were created without securing a venue, filling stands or moving a conventional unit through multiple match setups.

Inside the production

A world is built
in the details.

Directions from the Cricket production register, alongside frames from the finished film.

Character continuity

A black sports patka, a consistent beard and the teal–silver–graphite kit establish the fast bowler’s identity. The production register locks those details across views.

One coherent world

The fictional Meridian Cricket Arena is defined by its scalloped silver roof, white floodlights and contrasting teal and oxblood supporter zones.

Details that hold together

The wicket specification calls for three matte-white stumps and two red LED bails. Shape, material and scale are set before the scene is assembled.

Where the idea began +

The original concept, “The Long Route”, turns an unnecessarily long cricket-ball relay into a metaphor for workplace approvals. The players stay professional and understated; the inefficient process supplies the comedy.

The released film develops that premise through office paper hand-offs. These are the concept’s origins and production directions, rather than a scene-by-scene account of the final edit.
